Notes & tactics[ | ]
- The left side will spawn crowds with medium/low health in the non-boss waves. That's why it is highly susceptible to area-of-effect towers like ACP & Rockets, and towers that can hit multiple targets when firing, like the Orbital strike relay.
- The right side has random enemies - Heavier ones, infinite-armoured (Hoverers & Bobble heads) and a few mini-crowds. Even with utilizing multiple powerful tower types there, the player is likely to be forced to use weapons in this side for longer, especially when it comes to higher difficulties. Some highly capable towers in this side are the Focus, the Drones and the AR & Rupture mines, but also the anti-crowd/multi-target towers, viable in the left side.
- Boosting towers with Range spire and/or Amp can have favorable results, although 2x same of these support towers might be needed, due to the spatial separation into 2 sides. A Range spire, however, might buff an Amp enough to affect towers from the other side.
- AR mines are great for the 11th wave with the bosses. While random tactics of utilizing the mines can succeed, like luring them into the mines & putting them into bases where they are highly likely to head to & destroy, the bosses will always pass through the paths to the core, so putting them in the two narrower parts, closer to the core (approximately in the middle of them) is likely to utilize all mines with dealing high damage or executing the bosses (or a part of them, like both on the right/left side). Focus towers are also capable, especially if boosted by Range spire(s).
- It is good to try to execute partially or fully one side (left or right) with towers, while trying to deal with the other via weapons. This also helps the player(s) to concentrate better without losing momentum.
- Since the map appears to be the most dificult one in the game, core-oriented builds&perks are a viable option, similarly to the situation with Abandoned lab. The better core perks tend to be Shocking revelation & Resilient core, although the other two ones (Unstable core & Radioactive core) can also aid, especially if random smaller enemies penetrate to the core. These can work in synergy with Focus tower(s) & Orbital strike relays that have sight to the core via closer positioning and/or boosting them with Range spire(s). Slow fields around the core can reduce the damage that enemies deal to the core. They also can be boosted with a Range spire.
- Weapon perks like Tactical juxtaposition & Fast hands can help to overcome the overwhelming enemies on the sides.
