Notes & tactics[ | ]

  • This map is more difficult than the other maps in Outskirts, despite getting a good amount of resources & tower bases.
  • Starting to build tower bases from around the core is a good idea to force the lumes to all follow the same path and take area effect damage from the player(s) and tower(s).
  • The Range Spire is good on this map as it allows the towers to have better range to defend all the way around the core.
  • The Focus tower is capable vs the high-health enemies and the boss
  • The ACP is great vs all crowds and lategame can kill all medium & low-sized lumes. With or without a Range spire, this tower is great vs the small lumes in wave 5 and the waves later on.
  • Anti-air can be taken to have less to no problems with the Bliskeblaskes, although it is still good to try not shooting at them with weapons while they are in its range, since its damage is partially blocked by their defensive state. Having it at level 3 ensures that it'll at least do some damage to them if they go defensive. A Range spire can ensure it reaches them all with some careful positioning, otherwise two Anti-air towers might be needed to ensure that they'll not reach the core in some waves.
  • AR mines can provide some cover vs some waves, but their biggest importance is against the boss.
  • Because the starting Mind Control Spires are far away, they can not help effectively, and the common strategy is to sell them to utilize the resources & bases for else.
  • The Walker Patriarch can be a real threat in the last wave
    • Using AR mines against him is very effective. Some of the ways of applying this are:
      • Staying close to the spawn point of the boss with the mines in proximity with also shooting at him. This will lure him into them and he'll trigger them for a lethal or at least a painful explosion. The mines benefit from the Range spire's buff for a larger explosion and then, even if another enemy triggers them from a bit more distance, he is likely to suffer high damage;
      • Putting the mines on a player's head (can be done in solo as well, with just eyes up). The player with the mines should run into the boss, but should try to not trigger them in another enemies accidentally. A trickier technique.
      • Putting mines on bases that the boss is likely to destroy - can be trickier and riskier, since he might happen to change direction.
    • Building a barricade for him is an option to delay his dangerous destructions, especially if not using mines.
    • Focus + Range spire is an effective combo against him
