Overview[ | ]

  • Park is the 2nd map in Sanctum 2 after the tutorial map Introduction from Facility.
  • Before waves 3 & 6 there are time limits, 1 minute each. Most maps in the game have a time limit before some waves.
  • There are a Lightning (good against heavy enemies) and ACP (good against groups).
  • The map has two fighting Explorer Conscripts, which will help fighting the lumes
  • There are some explosive barrels close to the Explorers, that can deal considerable damage to nearby lumes and stun them.
  • The map has two level 1 AR mines (links in Youtube & Steam: [1], [2])
  • In the beginning the enlarged map looks like that: [link]. All maps in the game can be enlarged by pressing the assigned key while in-game (Tab by default)
  • The resources given are 250 in the beginning and 225 after each wave.
  • The bases given are:
    • 16 in the beginning (10 in the field + 6 granted);
    • 8 after waves 1 & 2;
    • 6 after 3 & 4;
    • 4 after wave 5, for a total of 48.

  • The map has some Easter eggs (link in Youtube: [1])

Notes & tactics[ | ]

  • Sanctum 2 works by using tower bases to build towers with resources to destroy lumes. Lumes are the enemies in the game that spawn in each wave giving you time between waves to construct what is generally called the maze.
  • The maze is the path you force the lumes to take and usually you want this to be as long as possible with lots of turns to get the most value out of towers.
  • You also choose a character with it's own weapons, tower choices and perks to choose from before you start any level, including this one.
  • Once lumes begin to attack the core they will generally no longer attempt to attack players. Howerver, while being tricky, if using weapons with pushing effect, such as the Battle rifle, Rex, Grenade launcher or the secondary fire of the Assault rifle, this can produce enough knockback to some of the aggressive lumes and this to result in them starting to attack the player instead after some distance is gained by the knockback
  • The core is the structure that you are defending. It is a giant blue ball and your job is to prevent the lumes from destroying it, which is how you win in Sanctum 2.
  • Make sure to create a maze and force the lumes to go into your towers and the towers provided by the level (although you can sell these two towers & use the resources & space for your own towers)
  • A good way to gain profile levels is to enable random Feats of Strength, up to 5 in further replays, since you will gain bonus experience points for having it enabled, or to play Survival mode.
  • The Soakers in waves 5 & 6 take a high amount of damage from the weakspot, which is on their head. Attack them as much as you can and watch the effect it has on the lume. Soakers tend to take minor damage from the Lightning tower, since it has low fire rate, but if they are already exposed by rapid weapons or towers, they take much damage from it.
  • Every weapon and almost every tower (except anti-air) can find use in this level because of the low amounts of relatively easy types of lumes.
  • It's important to act quickly and get ready for the lumes when the timers occur as the waves (4 & 6) automatically begin once the countdown hits 0.
