Overview[ | ]

  • This perk increases player damage the closer the player is to the core. If the player is touching the core/on it, the damage bonus is 50% extra damage.
  • This bonus drops by 10% for each block away from the core that the player is standing (ie, when the player is 5 blocks away from the core, the player gets no damage bonus).
  • Unlocked at rank 20.


Notes & tactics[ | ]

  • A potentially good pick when the player(s) use Drone launcher. Other relatively good weapons for this perk are the Voltaic hand cannon & the Rex.
  • It is not a good idea to use this perk with Sniper Rifle and/or SiMo, as bonus damage is added after all the critical bonuses as flat damage, resulting in a very minor damage increase of about 7% at max SiMo's weak-spot power.
  • Most times it is recommended to avoid this perk, unless the player plans on staying by the core for entire waves. Other damage perks allow players to better position themselves to better target the enemies.
  • A potentially risky pick if there are Super Heavies, that would reach proximity to the core. Not only they can destroy bases & towers with their provoked beam attack, but it can also hit the core for 500 damage.
  • Alone by itself, this perk finds use mainly in the Campaign & Easy modes, since in Survival it tends to lose impact over time, due to the increasing health of the enemies. Despite of this, if used properly along with certain other perks, like Concussion rounds for 2500+ damage weakspot hits, it still can find some more usage.
